Byers Lake is a must visit especially with Denali, Foraker and Hunter and the rest of the Alaska range extremely viewable on a clear day especially from the South lookout just beyond Mary’s Cafe (mile 135/6). Located at Parks highway mile marker 147 and the only rest stop with toilets open all year round going to Denali National Park from the south. The Alaska Veterans Museum presented a memorial wreath at the Memorial Weekend celebration by our Alaska Veterans Motorcycle organizations on Sunday and our Executive Director, Bob Sherrill, spoke briefly about the Alaska Veterans Museum and also the upcoming Eyes of Freedom traveling military memorial coming to Alaska from 18-28 July 2024 starting at the JBER Air Show 20-21 July.
