War Comes
Young men answer the call.
Mothers fret and wring their hands.
Fathers shed the first tears in years
Young men are proud to serve
Battles will be fought.
Young men will die.
Mothers will cry.
Fathers proclaim the honor of their son.
Flags will be lowered to half mast
Pries will offer up prayers
Children will look to mother for answers.
Dad will not be coming home.
Loneliness will prevail.
Tears continue to flow
Life goes on.
Politicians continue their march.
To war. To war!
I have the answers.
Trust me.
And the endless circle continues.
Such is the plight of mankind.
Young men to die.
